Hiya, I’m Chris, Founder of Visionary Marketing.

Weirdly I wasn’t ever meant to build and run a successful digital marketing agency, but life has a funny way of taking us where we’re supposed to be.

I went off to university like most youngsters do, thinking I’d find my dream career and set myself up. It did, but not the way I expected.

I soon realised that what I was learning was not helpful. I couldn't apply it to real-life scenarios. 

Truth is... It was a load of BS theory.

During my stay there I spent more time building businesses than doing my degree. I was learning ads, SEO and how to build websites rather than rubbish no one needed. I got my foot in the door with a b2b marketing director and offered up the SEO skills I had been honing - while at uni - and took a role within their team.

"The best lessons in life aren’t learned in a classroom—they’re learned by doing."

But I knew that if I really wanted to be effective and deliver consistent results, and had to learn more, so I moved into B2C marketing, and this is where I really refined my SEO, Google Ads & Paid Social skill set.

I began to learn about building pipelines, long sales cycles and working with those with lagging data, and by that point I knew both Marketing Qualified Leads & Sales Qualified Leads inside out.

Within a year I was all but running the agency from sales, marketing & business strategy as well as the execution for brands around the world. But I knew there was a better way of doing things. I was tired of seeing a separate sales team, and then different account managers who weren't connected to or truly understood the needs of the clients. And the clients didn't like this either.

Being lured in with great promises of results, amazing reporting and communication when the reality didn't reflect his. 

I took all of the feedback, along with the specialist skills to create performance marketing strategies that not only utilise the best channel for your business but also identify ways to synchronise across multiple platforms to create omni-channel campaigns and generate the most leads & revenue.
